Buddy Petitjean enters his first season as the Goalkeeper Coach for the Vestavia Hills High School Boys Soccer program. He brings valuable experience in training and developing goalkeepers at the high school level, having previously worked with the varsity boys at John Carroll Catholic High School in 2021 and with both the boys and girls programs at Oak Mountain High School from 2022 to 2025. During his time with those teams, his programs made three State Semifinal appearances, earned one State Runner-Up finish, and captured a State Championship.
A 2004 graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School, Buddy played under Coach Di Piazza and was a four-year Letterman. Known for his leadership, dedication, and consistency, he earned All-State and All-Metro honors during his playing career.
Buddy and his wife, Jennifer, along with their three children—Avery (8), Olivia (5), and John Michael (4)—are excited to be part of the Vestavia community and look forward to supporting the Rebels throughout the upcoming season.
